Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and Decentralized Finance (Ye Wang)

Brief Introduction

The course covers the technical and business aspects of blockchain technologies, distributed ledger technology, cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens, and decentralized applications, with a strong emphasis on decentralized finance, including decentralized exchanges, automated market makers, stablecoins, flash loans, and on-chain governance, as well as distributed consensus mechanisms such as proof-of-work, proof-of-stake, and Byzantine fault tolerance.

Students will learn how these systems work, how to develop smart-contract-based software applications, and how to analyze decentralized financial and economic systems.
